Dalc Consulting LLC wants every visitor to be able to read our work and reach our team, including people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, voice control, magnification, or with motion and colour settings turned up.
The standard we aim for
We work to WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the benchmark US courts and the Department of Justice generally point to for the Americans with Disabilities Act. We believe this site substantially meets it. We are not claiming perfection — see the known limits below.
What we have done
- Every page is built from real headings, landmarks and lists, so screen readers can navigate it.
- Every image carries a text description; images that are purely decorative are hidden from screen readers.
- All text and controls meet AA colour contrast. Our brand teal and coral are darkened where they are used as text.
- Everything works from the keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link as the first stop.
- Form fields have real labels, and the contact form reports success or failure in text rather than colour alone.
- The scrolling film sections honour your device’s “reduce motion” setting, and the same information is available as plain text and still images without JavaScript.
- Video is used for atmosphere only, carries no audio, and never auto-plays with sound.
Known limits
- Films embedded from YouTube use YouTube’s own player, so its captions and controls follow their accessibility, not ours. Each film is also linked as plain text.
- The scroll-driven walkthroughs are visual by nature. Everything they show is described in text beside them, but the experience itself is not equivalent.
- Client brand boards and printed samples are photographs of design work; their internal text is described in the caption rather than transcribed in full.

How this was assessed
Self-evaluated with the axe accessibility engine across every page type, plus manual keyboard and screen-reader checks. This has not been audited by an outside firm.
