Takia the Talented
Designing a visual identity for a full-service hairstylist.
Project background
Takia the Talented is a full-service hairstylist. Dalc’s in-house design team drew the identity as a working system: a full-colour lockup and a reversed lockup, a 5-colour palette with its codes, a Bodoni Moda and Poppins type pairing, and a watermark rule for photography.
The brand’s own line, set in the type specimen: Color Loud Enough to Notice

Our role
Our design team drew the mark — an illustrated profile with a script wordmark — and built the system around it, so Takia the Talented can use it without asking: a full-colour lockup and a reversed lockup, the palette above with every code written down, a type pairing for headlines and body copy, and a watermark rule so the brand signs its own photographs.
Everything on this page comes from the brand board we delivered. The photographs are mockups we made to show the identity at work — on a sign, on packaging, on something people wear or carry.
